The rock-on-rock-on.com webmaster sent in an order for this game immediately upon hearing about it, and wrote the designer for permission to post a descriptive page before the set even arrived - that's how good it sounded. And those hopes and expectations have been more than fulfilled.
After sharing Rukshuk with players aged 9, 11, 33, 37, 59, 60, and 65, it's obvious that this is a hands-down -- or rather, "rocks up" -- winner! Everyone enjoys it, loves to keep playing, and wants it as a gift. This reviewer has already ordered two more sets.
The play is fun and funny, with a promise of increased skill (and strategy) coming with each round. There's enough challenge for the most experienced balancer/stacker and enough instant reward for the youngest beginner. Small hands might even have a sight advantage, this thick-fingered boulder-balancer muses. However, we adults can take comfort in the benefit of quick mental addition in our scoring and playing strategies.
But, it's so entertaining, who cares who's the "winner"? Everyone is!
